Windows All Versions

Rebooting flushes your memory cache, reloads all Windows system files and gives your computer a fresh start. Everything's reloaded, memory is cleared vv .

So before you waste hours of time trying to figure out a problem, save your time and the frustration of trying to find a solution to a problem that may be solved by simply restarting your computer.

you (yes, YOU!) can write a little script that will make using System Restore quicker and easier? You can - and after you've completed the steps in this tip, you'll have a little script on your desktop that you can run before making changes to the registry, or installing a major program (like an anti-virus, firewall, or anti-spyware program). That way, if anything goes wrong, you'll be able to restore you computer back to the time, just before you made the registry changes or installed the program that caused you problems.
