Safe Browsing
You shouldn't go to Web sites you don't trust, but what if you're not sure if you can trust a certain site or not? What do you do then?
The answer is a service by Google called Google Safe Browsing Diagnostic. With this tool, you can type a Web address into your browser's address bar and get a report from Google, telling you whether the site is safe or not.
Here's how you do it; First, you will need this address: http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic/
The address above is what you can use to get a report. If you copy the exact address from above and paste it into your Web browser, To see a report about any other site, simply use the exact same address as above, but change the end of it.. For example, if you changed it to: http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=www.aol.com, you would get a report for AOL's safety rating.
The Google Safe Browsing Diagnostic is very nice to use for checking a Web site
before you visit it. If you want, you can bookmark it and use it whenever you need it
Move It? Copy It? Link It?
When you're trying to move, copy or otherwise manipulate text in MS Word do you find yourself frustrated with all the steps involved?
Many people I know will choose to highlight the text then cut or copy the text move the cursor to the new location and paste.
That's a lot of work for something that can be done with one smooth move of the mouse.
Obviously we'll still need to select (highlight) the text that we need to work with.
With the text still selected click and hold the right mouse button.
Now drag the mouse pointer to the new location.
Release the mouse button.
A list of choices like this will pop open, you just need to choose one.
Move Here and Copy Here are pretty self-explanatory.
Link Here will copy the text to the new location but it will be linked to the original text. Basically what this gives you is the ability to edit the original text and have those updates automatically take effect in the linked text. One update = many changes, can be a powerful and useful tool!
For appropriate items you may see the choice Create Hyperlink Here. I think we all know to expect that this option would copy the text to the new location and then set it as a hyperlink. Not a bad idea for long documents with a table of contents or just as a way to allow people using the document electronically to navigate to specific locations.
That all there is to it - with the right-click drag you can accomplish a variety of things you just have to choose which one.
This is a really fun Web site where you can make art out of characters with a font. Be warned though, it's very addicting!
I suggest starting in the How to Play area. That section gives you the instructions you need to get started. Basically, you manipulate the font to make images. You can also type in words at the bottom of the page to add more options to the characters already provided.
I made what is supposed to be an elephant. You can see it here.
You can also browse the images other people have made by clicking on View Gallery. As you browse the gallery, you can rate the images as well.
This is a very cool way to create art. I hope you enjoy it as much as I already have!

Delete Favorites
It happens, we add tons of sites into our favorites/bookmark menus and we're left with a giant mess. Heck, most of the sites you added are not even in service anymore! You've organized them and you've dragged and dropped them before, but what about just straight-up deleting them?
How do you do that?
Easy! Perhaps so easy that most of you probably know how to do it already!
Simply open your favorites/bookmarks menu and right-click on the site or folder you want to purge from the list.
Select “Delete”
This works for most major web browsers (IE, FireFox, Opera)

Daemon Tools
Have you ever purchased software on a CD, installed it on your computer and ran it, only to find that you have to keep the disk in for it to work right.
I have found a free program that will solve that little problem forever! The program is called Daemon Tools and it allows you to create virtual drives so you never have to hunt down those pesky disks!
After installing Daemon Tools, you can simply open the tools panel and choose "disk imaging". From there, point the program to your troublesome, required cd rom and have it start copying. Daemon Tools will create an exact image of the disk so you can use it whenever you want without having to actually insert the CD ever again!
Daemon Tools will create up to 4 virtual drives at once, but you can swap images between them for truly unlimited virtual disks at your disposal. Instead of having to hunt down a disk, just click the "mount'n'drive manager" and select the disk you want to use. Its as simple as that!
If you want to download daemon Tools, you can get it right here for free
