Drag and Drop Web Addresses
Do you find yourself frequently trying to copy and paste Web addresses into your Office files?
Maybe you need the Web address as part of a Word document, PowerPoint presentation or Excel spreadsheet.
Whatever your need, would you like a faster way to move that address from your browser to your file?
Yeah, who wouldn't?!
Well, here's the scoop.
First, make sure you have the Office file open that needs the address.
Now, all you need to do is click and hold the Page Icon, which is located to the left of the page's URL on the address bar.
Next, drag the Page Icon to the program where you need the address.
If your destination window is covered, then first drag the Page Icon down to the task bar and pause over the program you're trying to reach.
After a short pause, the windows should switch so you can continue the drag into the new location.
To complete the process, simply release the mouse button in the desired location.
Voila! The Web address is copied and you didn't have to highlight, copy or paste a single thing!
